![]() REM investigates video targeting N1 and Nova S journalists
Serbia’s electronic media watchdog initiated proceedings against two pro-regime TV stations for airing a video which targets N1 and Nova S journalists, N1 reports.
The Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM – a body that is supposed to be independent of the authorities) said that it proposed proceedings against TV stations Pink and B92 for airing a video by the pro-regime Center for Social Stability. The REM expert service said the video is akin to a pamphlet which targets N1 and Nova S staff counter to the basic principles of professional journalism. It added that the video also demeaned them without providing any credible information and was on the verge of political propaganda. The REM does not have a Council as its main body which decides on further action. The REM Council was disbanded after its members resigned and a new one has not been appointed by parliament. RELATED
