The family home of Channel 5 CEO Volodymyr Mzhelskyi in Markhalivka (Kyiv oblast) was destroyed completely in a Russian strike on May 25, as reported by European Solidarity MP Iryna Herashchenko in a Facebook post featuring a photo of the destroyed house.

“Volodia and Angelica (Volodymyr's wife – Ed.) Mzhelskyis' family is still recovering from the stress, so we are only telling you about this horror now. Fortunately, everyone survived, although the children had cuts from the glass, their wounds were stitched up in the hospital. Unfortunately, nothing of the house and car remained,” wrote Iryna Herashchenko.

She shared the card numbers for those who want to support the media professional’s family with a donation.

The Russian troops shelled the village of Markhalivka on May 25, 2025. As Suspilne reported, one person died and 22 buildings were destroyed.
