CEERTS staff join Monday’s student protest in Belgrade
The Cenzolovka media freedom portal shared a photo on X showing RTS employees blocking the road in front of the state TV building in downtown Belgrade, holding banners that read, “RTS Employees” and “Demands Have Not Been Met”, N1 reports.
Belgrade University students initiated a 24-hour roadblock at a major junction in the Serbian capital on Monday morning. CEETV reminds that university and high school students across Serbia have been protesting for weeks, demanding accountability for the November 1 collapse of a concrete canopy at the recently renovated Novi Sad train station, which killed 15 people and severely injured two others. They are also calling for the prosecution of those responsible for assaults on students during the protests. RELATED
